Nerja Fair 2023 Program

FROM OCTOBER 7 TO OCTOBER 12, 2023

The Nerja Fair will commence on October 7th with musical activities at the Balcón de Europa and the Grand Gala of the Queen 2023 at the Municipal Pavilion.

Here is the program for the Nerja Fair 2023:

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7

• 8:00 PM – CITY HALL FACADE Concert by Nerja Municipal Music Band, conducted by Mr. David Palomas Gómez.
• 8:30 PM – CITY HALL FACADE Fair Opening Speech by the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Anguish and Saint Michael the Archangel. Lighting of the fairground and fireworks display; officially inaugurating our 2023 fair.
• 11:00 PM – MUNICIPAL PAVILION – GRAND GALA FOR THE ELECTION OF THE QUEEN AND KNIGHT OF NERJA 2023. Gala XIA presented by Rocío Delgado and Alfonso Ruiz, featuring performances by JOTA CARAJOTA, DREAM DANCERS, DAMN.
• 2:00 AM – DJ’s AT THE MUNICIPAL PAVILION

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8

• 12:00 PM – FLOWERED PARADE through the streets of Nerja by Brasstown Band.
• 12:00 PM – EL CORTIJO PAVILION – ELECTION OF THE QUEEN AND KNIGHT OF CHILDREN 2023. Grand children’s party presented by La Carpa Teatro. During the party, the drawing to select the Children’s Queen and Knight will take place. Ballot boxes will be open from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.Basic rules for participants in this contest:
  • Ages 5 to 10 years old.
  • Must be registered in Nerja.
  • Girls should be dressed in flamenco attire, and boys should wear short suits or cowboy outfits.
  • Footwear should match the traditional attire, so participants wearing sports shoes will not be accepted. The ballot boxes will be opened at 2:00 PM.
• 2:00 PM – Paco “El Apañao.”
• 3:30 PM – Choir “Narixa.”
• 4:00 PM – Election of the Queen and Knight of the Third Age 2023. Selection of the best-dressed Flamenco Elder.
• 5:00 PM – Daniel Romero’s Dance Academy.
• 6:00 PM – Mirabrás Flamenco Group.
• 7:00 PM – Cynthia Martín.
• 7:00 PM – PARADE through the Streets of Nerja by Vaso Largo Band.
• 9:00 PM – Al Alba.
• 11:00 PM – MUNICIPAL PAVILION – FAIRGROUND Great performance by LAS MIGAS.
• 1:00 AM – DJ’s AT THE MUNICIPAL PAVILION

MONDAY, OCTOBER 9

• 12:00 PM – Festive Parade through the streets of Nerja by Brasstown Band.

  • Accompanied by the Nerja Municipal Music Band, Hermanos Ortigosa, entertainment shows by La Carpa and Club Cultural Equitación y Enganche San Isidro.
  • Route: Parque Verano Azul, C/ Antonio Ferrándis Chanquete, C/ Jaén, C/ Diputación, C/ Plaza Cavana, C/ Carmen, Balcón de Europa, C/ Puerta del Mar, C/ Pintada, C/ Alejandro Bueno, C/ Herrero Oria, C/ Ruperto Andúez, and C/ Frigiliana until reaching the fairground.
• 12:00 PM – EL CORTIJO PAVILION
  • Children’s Party with Costillita and Amapola
  • 4:30 PM – Peña Nerjeña
